Privacy Policy

Donations. When you give through the Give page, payment is processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that. If you provide an email address, it's used to send you a receipt and, if you look yourself up later on the Account page, to match you to your own giving history.

Volunteering. The Get Involved page links to your email client so you can write to us directly — that message goes to our inbox like any other email. We don't store volunteer submissions in a database.

Testimonies. If you share your story on the Testimonies page, we store your message, any photo or video link you give us, your name if you add one, and your email if you add one. Your story is only shown publicly after our team reviews it and with your permission. Your email is never shown — it's only so staff can contact you about your story. Ask us any time and we'll remove it.

Account lookups. The Account page lets you search your own donation history by entering the email you gave with. That search is sent to Stripe to find matching records; we don't keep a separate copy of the results.

Staff access. Our team signs in to a separate admin area using Firebase Authentication to manage the events calendar and other programs. This is unrelated to anything you submit as a visitor or donor.

We use the information above only to do the thing you asked: send a receipt, follow up on a volunteer message, or keep the events calendar and admin tools running for staff. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't use your information for any purpose beyond running Kenovah's programs and communicating with you about them.

We use one functional cookie: a signed session cookie that keeps staff signed in to the admin area. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics on this site at this time.

Stripe processes payments and stores payment details under its own privacy policy. Firebase (Google) hosts our events calendar and staff sign-in. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, for any reason, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Donation and payment records are retained by Stripe under its own policies and for as long as we need them for receipts, reconciliation and legal record-keeping. Volunteer emails live in our ordinary inbox for as long as any email would. We don't keep a separate database of visitor activity to prune.

Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure — they never pass through our servers. Staff access to admin tools is protected by Firebase Authentication and limited to team members who need it to run programs.

This site is intended for adults making gifts or volunteering on behalf of themselves or an organization. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we control directly (such as a volunteer email in our inbox). Because donation records are held by Stripe, requests about payment history may need to be directed there as well as to us — we're happy to help either way. If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
